ADMISSION PROCEDURE
The following are the time table for admission
Issue of prospectus/Admission form: From 2nd April,2018
Last date of submission of admission form: 10/4/2018
Date of entrance exam: 22/4/2018
The admission form should be accompanied with the self attested copies of following documents /certificate (Otherwise, the application for the admission will be treated as incomplete and cancelled)
· Admit card of HSLC exam
· Certificate and Mark-sheet of all qualifying examinations.
· Cast certificate
· Migration certificate
· Registration certificate
· Passport size photograph(2copies)
All original certificates must be produced at the time of interview.
ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION
Candidate must be minimum Graduate in any discipline with at least 50% (minimum mark) for general category and 45%(minimum marks)for scheduled Tribe/Scheduled Cast category(or as directed and prescribed by the Assam university)
No other commitment such as University examinations, Competitive Exam, Computer Course, and Private Tuitions should be undertaken during the college timing of classes and activities.
STUDENTS DISCIPLINE
Great emphasis is laid on discipline and character building. Trainees are expected to maintain a high standard of discipline .The Principal of college reserves the right to remove from the rolls of the names of trainees for unsatisfactory conduct.
MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION
The medium of instruction of the College is English.
ANNUAL MAGAZINE
The College encourages publishing its annual Magazine every year in order to develop the creativity and literary talents of the trainees.
CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Through co-curricular activities in the College the trainees are taught to be an ideal leader in the field of education.
PERSONAL CONTACT CLASSES
Personal contact seminars are arranged by the College for the benefit of the trainees. Separate communication is made to students regarding the contact seminar classes.
IDENTITY CARD
The Identity card is issued ti every trainee. The card should be kept by the trainee till the completion of the course. No renewal is required during the course of study. If the original card is lost, a duplicate can be obtained from the college on payment of Rs. 100/-.
Library
DIET, Karbi Anglong, Diphu has a library with over 5000 books and Journals. Books will be supplied to the trainees according to Library rules. For the benefit of the trainees Library card will be issued. The Librarian issues instructions regarding the facilities and maintenances of Library books.
CONDUCT OF EXAMINATION
The DIET, Karbi Anglong, Diphu will conduct internal examinations during the course tenure according to the examination schedule. Generally two terminal examinations are held to assess the progress of the trainee in each semester. Attendance in the examination is a must as their performance is counted in the internal assessments. Final examination is held at DIET, Karbi Anglong, Diphu centre according to the programme notified by the Assam University, Silchar.
PROJECT WORK
Project work is carried out by every trainee during the course since it demonstrates the capability of the trainees for some original approach in the application of theoretical knowledge gained from the course. The project work is finalized in consultation with the department concerned several project works may be carried out during the course according to te norms of the Assam University, Silchar and NCTE.
