ICT Laboratory
The ICT
Laboratory at DIET Karbi Anglong is a dedicated digital learning space
designed to enhance technological proficiency among trainee teachers and
support modern, technology-integrated pedagogy. The lab plays an essential role
in helping B.Ed and D.El.Ed trainees acquire practical skills in Information
and Communication Technology, enabling them to become confident and effective
21st-century educators.
Equipped
with computers, internet connectivity, projectors, interactive teaching
tools, audio-visual devices, and educational software, the ICT Lab provides
hands-on training in digital tools, online resources, and e-learning platforms.
Trainees learn to create digital lesson plans, use multimedia resources in
teaching, prepare presentations, develop e-content, and integrate ICT meaningfully
into classroom instruction.
The lab
supports activities under EPC-3 (Critical Understanding of ICT) and
various practicum components of teacher education programmes. Regular sessions
are conducted to familiarize trainee teachers with government e-initiatives
such as DIKSHA, ePathshala, PM e-Vidya, Learning Outcome portals, and
other open educational resources.
By promoting
digital literacy, creativity, and innovative teaching methods, the ICT
Laboratory ensures that future teachers are well-prepared to use technology
effectively in schools and contribute to a modern, learner-centered educational
environment in Karbi Anglong.
